Details

Experience the spiritual joy and intellectual rigor of a Farbrengen with the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory. Listen as the timeless truths of the Written Law, the Talmud, Kabbalah and Chasidism are applied to issues of contemporary social and ethical concern. During pauses in the Yiddish talk, the thousands in attendance sing Chassidic melodies and the Rebbe greets them with blessings of L'Chaim! To experience a Farbrengen is to glimpse the unity of higher and lower worlds, a meeting of the Divine and the human, the mystical and the mundane, the timely and the timeless.

The Rebbe's father, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, passed away in 1944, after five years of communist exile for his efforts to keep Judaism alive in Ukraine. But here, on his father's 41st yahrzeit, the theme of the night is life - his father's, the Jewish people's and all of humanity's.
What does it mean to live as a good Jew? What does it mean to live as a good non-Jew?
How can one live and grow in death as in life? How can one live and grow in exile as in redemption?
In delivering one paradigm shift after another, the Rebbe offers an opportunity to see the world through an entirely fresh lens.
This special release includes the entire three-plus hour event. Three of the major addresses are presented with subtitles.

Runnng time: 3 hours 20 minutes
